Municipal Water Only
Using the UC-200 is straightforward. It is designed specifically for municipal water. Please do not use it with private well water, as it is not intended for that purpose.
No Water Softening
The UC-200 is a water purifier and does not soften water. It cannot resolve issues caused by excessively hard water like lime scale mineral deposits on tea kettles.
Simple Installation
Installation is incredibly easy. The UC-200 is designed for direct connect to the main kitchen sink cold water line. No drilling through the countertop is required, and no extra filter dispenser or faucet is needed. Video tutorial instructions are available to guide you through the process. If you encounter any non-standard under-counter plumbing connection issues or need assistance completing the installation, CuZn technical support will diagnose and provide all necessary additional adapters.
3-Stage Filtration Process
The UC-200 utilizes a 3-stage filtration process including micro-sediment membranes, KDF-55, and coconut shell carbon. This process effectively purifies the water without reducing the health beneficial mineral content. As a result, TDS or PPM type meter readings will remain the same when measuring the filtered water compared to unfiltered water.
Bacteriostatic
Unlike carbon-only filters, the UC-200 is bacteriostatic and not susceptible to mold or bacteria growth. To test the UC-200’s filtered water and ensure it is still working, use DPD#1 Chlorine test strips. Replace the filter when chlorine is detected. Sensitive test strips that test down to 0.25 or 0.5ppm are ideal for early detection of chlorine. Premature expiration under the warranty period is covered by CuZn.
Comprehensive Install Insurance Policy
CuZn includes a comprehensive install insurance policy with the purchase of the UC-200 on Amazon. If you are unable to complete your installation for any reason or have an alternative method for installing the filter, such as connecting it to a dedicated filtered water only dispenser faucet, simply send a request via Amazon buyer-seller messaging. CuZn tech support will diagnose and provide the necessary alternative install kit at no additional cost.
